R&D Project Justification and Human Resources

INTERA is an innovative technology company committed to advancing R&D initiatives in areas such as IoT, Hardware and Software Design, Artificial Intelligence, and smart solutions for sectors including Healthcare, Energy, and Industry. We are currently seeking an Administrative Specialist to join our team at our Barcelona office and contribute to the success of our R&D projects, primarily with experience in public grant justification and corporate Human Resources management.

Job Description

As an Operations & People Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our R&D projects, ensuring proper project justification and compliance with allocated budgets. Additionally, you will manage the company’s Human Resources function.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in project administration, Human Resources, and financial management to optimize operations and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities

R&D Project Justification

  • Manage budgets, documentation, and physical and digital filing (invoices, expense reports, payroll records, etc.) required to justify received grants, including European, national, and regional funding.
  • Compile and analyze data to support project justification, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and meet administrative deadlines and compliance requirements.

Human Resources

  • Manage the company’s Human Resources functions (workforce of approximately 30–40 employees), including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, bonuses, time tracking, and related accounting and reporting tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and regulations, and respond to employee inquiries and requests.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR events and initiatives aimed at enhancing engagement, team cohesion, gender equality, diversity, and organizational culture.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support financial tasks, as a secondary role, including accounting, taxation, treasury management, and financial planning.
  • Assist with facilities logistics, office space management, and supervision of supplies and equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in project justification (preferably R&D projects), as well as HR and financial management.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/accounting management software.
  • Excellent level of English, Spanish, and Catalan, both written and spoken.
